The good. This board has a lot of nice features like lots of SATA ports decent WIFI antenna PCIE 4.0 Bluetooth and a decent VRM. The BIOS can be updated very easily and the layout is good. If you plan on leaving everything alone and not overclocking it is an ok board. The bad, base and boost clocks sit slightly lower than where they should be and there is nothing you can do about it, that’s why this board usually scores lower in tests. No problems but ran into a few things.
I do wish the manual was a little more clear. On one page of the manual when talking about hooking up the power supply, it says do not hook up only a 4 pin for cpu power, but do an 8 or an 8 and a 4 since only a 4 may cause it to overheat. Then later it shows a picture of you hooking up only a 4. (To just have it take up half of the 8 pin slot.) That is confusing. Also, many power supplies, like mine, dont have an 8 connector at all, but have two 4s instead. After talking to many people and doing…

I like this board and found it easy to work with and get setup.
A few things to note though. Although the latest models are shipped with a Ryzen 9 compatible bios, the one you get might not have the latest bios loaded on it.
The problem is there is no bios flash update so you will need another Ryzen AMD processor that the bios does work with to upgrade the bios. This was pretty frustrating.
Also some of the capacitors are pretty close to where the CPU sits and got in the way of some CPU mounts for coolers. So I had to find the right cooler…

I bought this motherboard less the 4 months ago I woke up one morning last week and the whole board stopped working hdmi ubs ports nothing when removing the board a small surface scratch one HD audio chip now they say my warrenty is void and I have to pay I’ve purchased 3 different ASUS laptops ten years ago was about to do a full upgrade to 2020 products but there customer service is horrible numerous times I’ve ask to speak with some one they never called me I use to recommend you now I will avoid you for the rest of my life hope you go…

This one went together the first time and fired up, everything worked fine. I finished it off, loaded the operating system and application software, burned it in, and released it to the user. The motherboard failed one week into service. I am ascribing it to infant mortality – it happens.
