I had considered getting a gen-3 drive for my new Ryzen/X570 system because of the really overpriced gen-4 NVMe drives out there. After looking around, I came across this Sabrent model, which was much less expensive than similar drives from Corsair, Gigabyte and others. From what I can tell, they are pretty much identical with the same NAND and controller. The packaging is really neat on this product and what looks like a label is actually made of copper. I used this with my Gigabyte motherboard NVMe heatsink and have had no problems at all with temperatures (even while benchmarking). Performance is excellent and just as advertised. I get about 5GB/s reads and 4.4GB/s writes, and excellent random performance and IOPS.
Overall, I’m really happy with this purchase.

After doing lots of research and reading many fovourable reviews I purchased on of these SSD’s in May 2020. It’s been in daily use since then but two weeks ago it failed without warning.
I raised a support case and went through the trouble shooting/diagnostic steps with an engineer from Sabrent who confirmed the unit was faulty and asked that I send pictures of the front and back of the device so they could check it’s serial number and condition. Despite it clearly being in pristine condition I was then advised I would only get a replacement if I sent the unit to them so I then had pay £25 to send the faulty unit to the USA in order to get it replaced even though it had been diagnosed as faulty and evidence had been sent that it hadn’t been mistreated.
When I asked why they needed the clearly unrepairable item returning to them after they themselves had diagnosed the iteam as being faulty they simply responded with “it’s company policy”. This isn’t good enough, if their company policy is to have the item returned then their company should bear the cost of having the item shipped half way round the world only to be thrown in the bin! I won’t be buying this brand again in the future.

Questi M2 di Sabrent, sopratutto la versione Pcie4.0, sono estremamente convenienti in rapporto alle prestazioni che sono paragonabili ai concorrenti ben più costosi, quasi del doppio.
Ho preso un 512Mb ed un 1Tb a 202€ nel periodo del Black Friday, risparmiando 100€ in tot. e sono più che soddisfatto.
Certo che non so ancora quanto durino le celle rispetto ad un Samsung o un Corsair/Crucial, anche perché se costano la metà dei citati, un motivo ci sarà sicuramente.

Un SSD hyper rapide quand on le branche en Pcie 4 (x570 et plus).
Je met les résultats crystal mark que j’ai obtenu car ceux des autres utilisateurs me paraissent assez bas (surement en pcie 3 au lieu de 4). A noter que le logiciel tweak-ssd-v2 porte bien son nom et aide à atteindre facilement ces chiffres.
Pensez bien à mettre votre bios en UEFI only, surtout pas bios ou legacy sinon vous allez galérer avec MBR/GPT.

Questa è in realtà un’unità molto bella e al momento del mio acquisto 50 euro in meno rispetto alle versioni Aorus o Corsair degli ssds Gen4 – quelli usano anche lo stesso controller SSD Phison PS5016-E16, il TLC BiCS4 96-layer di Toshiba (livello triplo cell) NAND. Sabrent offre anche una garanzia di 5 anni (è necessario registrarlo). Ho ottenuto la versione senza dissipatore di calore perché sto usando una scheda che ha già un dissipatore di calore per la presa NVMe. L’unità viene fornita come pubblicizzato sulla velocità della scatola sia per Gen4 che Gen3, quindi se prendi questa unità e non hai una scheda madre con chipset x570 (l’unico chipset che attualmente supporta PCIe gen4) puoi ancora usarlo in una scheda gen3 e offre prestazioni leggermente migliori rispetto a un’unità gen 3 corrente. Almeno questa è stata la mia esperienza. La confezione era bella, era una scatola di alluminio ben protetta e raffinata

ATTENZIONE dopo 8 mesi la velocità diminuisce anche di 50 volte. Il supporto NON AIUTA e riconosce il problema, evita e non considera ogni test di misura quantitativo che dimostra il problema .NESSUNA GARANZIA.
Ero molto soddisfatto del prodotto installato su un nuovo PC win10 acquistato a febbraio2020 , MB Asus ROG Crosshair Hero VIII X570 PCI 4.0, la velocità del sistema era completamente soddisfacente.
Dopo solo 8 mesi di utilizzo come disco C: di boot in ambiente Home smart working la velocita’ ha cominciato a degradare vistosamente, senza aver attuato nessuna modifica HW o SW al PC, con tempi allungati e percepibili chiaramente, fino a sembrare un comune disco spinning, non sono riuscito a trovare un evento causa ma un costante progressivo peggioramento man mano che il disco si riempiva. Ho quindi per prima cosa aggiornato BIOS e driver win10 , utilizzato SW di bench ATTO e CrystallDisk per capire cosa succedesse e verificato che la velocità di scrittura era da 5 a 50 volte più bassa di quella di lettura, molto minore di quella attesa e pubblicata su analoghi risultati di Bench Test su varie riviste e prove del prodotto. Il peggio è stato quando ho aperto una richiesta di Supporto allegando i risultati ottenuti 28NOV2020. Risposte vaghe circa possibili cause, controlli solo sulla configurazione banale di Win10 tipo trim attivo, tentare avviando win in modalita SafeBoot senza altri drivers, etc. Ma in tutti i tentativi il problema rimaneva. Nessuna risposta o controllo quantitativa o test da fare per verificare la evidente lentezza. Affermazione del supporto che ci si deve aspettare degrado della velocita di scrittura quando disco supera 50% della capacità etc. , è colpa di windows, tutto meno un possibile problema HW del disco, nessuna risposta alla mia richiesta di confermare che le misure da me inviate sulle velocità erano attese e conformi a prodotto in piena efficienza. Continue risposte vaghe ed inutili. La persona che risponde sembra solo orientata a chiudere il case prima possibile appena non riceve risposta dopo i 3 giorni lavorativi previsti, me lo ha chiuso anche da Venerdi a Lunedi successivo con sabato e domenica chiaramente non lavorativi in mezzo.
Ho acquistato A MIE SPESE altro SSD, NON SABRENT ovviamente, clonato l’immagine del disco e eseguito di nuovo i test, e sul nuovo SSD la velocita di scrittura E” QUELLA ATTESA, un po’ minore di quella di lettura . Dopo aver formattato il disco Sabrent, come suggerito dal supporto, ho clonato di nuovo l’immagine sul Sabrent e rieseguito i test, ma nulla è cambiato. Ritengo che problemi di prodotto possano capitare ma la completa inefficienza del supporto a fronte di un problema è imperdonabile. Attenzione se capita qualcosa, anche sotto garanzia, sarete abbandonati a voi stessi e il supporto NON prende in carico il problema. Per loro finche’ si accende e funziona, anche lento come un disco spinning, TUTTO è normale e non interviene la garanzia.

Il massimo della tecnologia ssd a un prezzo decisamente più alla portata delle sue sorelle top di gamma.
Se avete una scheda madre 570 con nvme pcie 4.0 pensateci seriamente, se non potete sfruttarla appieno invece evitate, io credo che la tecnologia vada pagata e comprata per quello che ci può offrire oggi, perchè non possiamo sapere se nuove innovazioni potrebbero rendere inutile una spesa comunque importante come questa.
Ci sono tantissime ssd m.2 per pcie 3.0 che sono validissime, tra cui lo stesso modello sabrent, e vi forniranno comunque grandi prestazioni.

The installation was kind of hard as, I have a dark rock pro fan which makes access to getting to the m.2 NVME slot on my board quite hard
If you have a standard 120mm fan its fairly easy but having a 140+ makes it a lot harder. Still manged though.
Considering this is £120 (Bought for £100 due to 16% off (black Friday)) its quite cheap compared to other gen 4 NVME like corsairs

Which is around £150 30-50 more than the Sabarent 500gb.
All in all your saving yourself 30-50 unless you want the heat sink which is an 116, an extra £16 (if the deal is present (17%)).
To take into consideration that corsair has an inbuilt heat sink and Sabrent has a variant. Sabrent is still the cheaper option by £35.
Presentation is neat comes in a very small package, with a copper lined tin to house the NVME.

Ho acquistato questo Nvme, SSD Interno da 500GB Rocket PCIe 4.0, per le notevoli velocità di lettura e scrittura di questo tipo di dispositivo di archiviazione. E’ stato montato su un pc con una configurazione:
– scheda madre Asus Rog Strix X570-E
– alimentatore da 750w
– processore un Ryzen 7 3800X
Sabrent Rocket 500gb è un SSD M.2 NVMe veloce ma al tempo stesso capiente e a basso costo per la sua categoria. Realizzato da un’azienda statunitense, garantisce prestazioni elevate grazie all’uso di memoria Toshiba e del controller Phison PS5012-E12. La qualità dei materiali è ottima e curata nei minimi dettagli, imballato in una piccola scatolina di metallo anti-shock per far si che non si muova durante il trasporto e non subisca danni. Esistono in commercio Nvme di 3 dimensioni diverse, questo fa parte della categoria intermedia ossia 2280. Stando ai dati promessi da questo modello avremo fino a 5000 MB/s in lettura e 2500 MB/s in scrittura.
Detto ciò passo alle mie impressioni. Che dire, una volta installato nel pc, si notano subito dei grandi miglioramenti, già nella velocità di accensione, passando da un SSD Samsung 860 QVO, si nota un ulteriore velocizzazione. La risposta del sistema è decisamente migliorata sia nell’apertura di finestre, programmi ed è ottimo anche in gioco, infatti migliora la velocità dei caricamenti.
Una piccola nota da tenere d’occhio è che questo dispositivo essendo un PCIe Gen 4 è compatibile solo con schede madri di ultima generazione per usufruire di velocità ottimali.
Sono molto soddisfatta di questo Nvme e per quanto riguarda il rapporto qualità-prezzo è accettabile in quanto avrete grandi prestazioni a un prezzo “economico” rispetto ad altri modelli sul mercato.
