IS 2TB enough? Probably not – 120Mbyte was enough some years ago….a lot of years ago…..
Not much to complain about – very good, fast, and reasonably easy to install. A bit fiddly, but not too bad.
Word of warning – this M.2 SSD comes in a very nice metal box, with fancy padding inside (presumably a simple plastic bubble card wouldn’t do), but no screw to fix to motherboard. So hopefully you didn’t throw away the motherboard fixing like I did. My fault entirely, but it would be handy to include a spacer/screw at a few pence to save any grief.
Lets assume M.2 screw mount point is same for all motherboard manufacturers………..

Ottimo prodotto veloce e semplice da installare. Le viti per fissarlo dovreste già averle insieme alla scheda madre.
Inoltre andando sul sito Sabrent è possibile scaricare gratuitamente Acronis per clonare il vostro sistema operativo.
Se siete indecisi tra questo prodotto e un SSD Sata consiglio vivamente questo avrete allo stesso prezzo un grande spazio di archiviazione e una velocità nettamente superiore.

Ci sono tantissimi SSD NVMe in commercio, e Sabrent si è affermata nel settore con questi prodotti di qualità molto buona.
Sicuramente hanno un prezzo davvero appetibile se rapportato alle prestazioni offerte, sSi avvicinano di molto a prodotti di marca più conosciuta e riescono a contenere il prezzo.
Sinceramente l’ho provato su una MSI con un i7 ed è risultato un ottimo prodotto ma…non si capisce quanto ci si possa fare affidamento a lungo termine…
Chiariamoci, è normale trovare dei “settori” danneggiati, più grande è l’unità più probabile che ci siano, è tutto contemplato. Il dubbio però viene quando dopo un po’ di utilizzo intensivo (disco di boot con OS) spunta qualche settore danneggiato in più…forse tutto nella norma o forse un lotto più sensibile, ma non me la sono sentita di tenerlo.

Acquistato più che altro per aumentare la capienza del mio notebook, in quanto provvisto già di un ssd da 512gb abbastanza performante.
Ho quindi deciso di installare questo ssd nel secondo slot e clonare il SO su questo nuovo SSD, in quanto, come potete vedere dai benchmark effettuati risulta di gran lunga più performante del precedente.
Facile da installare, ovviamente se avete un minimo di conoscenza
Unico appunto negativo è che scalda parecchio e in fase di scrittura, nel mio caso, appoggiando la mano sul notebook, alla destra del trackpad lo si può percepire parecchio.

Preface:
I have a duel boot system & brought this because the SSD that I had Windows 10 installed on had died.
Initial impressions:
When I plugged this in & booted to Windows 7 with the intent to mount it & pre format it to start my Windows 10 installation, the device did not show, either in disk management or even in the device manager. I tried installing it in a few locations (I have a m.2 slot on the motherboard itself & a multi m.2 pcie card) but that had no effect, in fact placing it in the m.2 pcie card stopped other drives in that card from being detected even in the bios.
Windows Installation:
After placing the card back into the motherboard mount, I booted into the Windows 10 installation & it was detected there were no problems formatting it & installing.
Usage:
After making sure to have my fresh installation fully updated I ran some speed tests & the drive ran at the full speeds advertised. I installed some applications & games & they all ran quickly & smoothly, copying files also confirmed the speed was being reported accurately.
In summary:
This drive does not play well with others & can cause other drives to not even report to the bios especially if they are sharing a pcie lane. Also the lack of Windows 7 (and presumably below) compatibility is a bit of a downfall as I was hoping to store & access files on Windows 7 as well, now any files or programs installed on this drive can only be used by Windows 10.
All of the problems listed above are probably caused by the firmware & are most likely related to badly coded firmware rather than a hardware fault or chip incompatibility.
The drive does seem cheap & has poorly coded firmware I would not store any very important files on this drive as I am not sure of its long term stability.

La mia scheda madre è una Asus Z390 E Gaming; usato il connettore M2_1 (PCIe /SATA). La memoria è stata riconosciuta senza difficoltà come NVMe e connessa come PCIex4. Il problema è sorto con l’inmstallazione del S.O. (Win 10 – 19), dopo la quale il Bios UEFI della scheda madre non è mai stato in grado, con le impostazioni di default, di avviare il sistema in alcun modo (messaggio costante ad ogni fallito avviamento “non trovato Winload.efi”), nemmeno ripristinando più volte il file BCD della partizione UEFI. Alla fine ho installato sul Vs modulo un backup Symantec di sistema completo di partizione EFI ed ho provato a cambiare contestaualmente nel BIOS, in ogni dove, le impostazioni da UEFI a UEFI = Legacy: tuttavia anche così al primo tentativo l’avviamento è fallito di nuovo finché, a scopo d’indagine, non ho avviato il sistema in modalità provvisoria. A questo punto, constatata finalmente la riuscita dell’avviamento, ho riavviato in modalità normale ed anche così l’avviamento è andato finalmente a buon fine. Problema risolto con gran dispendio di tempo (1 giornata), dopo di che ho potuto constatare la qualità del Vs prodotto e le sue ottime prestazioni. Complimenti per la sollecita consegna.

Hab diese SSD seit 6 Monaten eingebaut. Darauf befinden sich 2 Boot Partitionen und Games. Die SSD ist zu 1/4 voll. Sie wird gekühlt und die Temps bewegen sich so bei 36 Grad. Anfangs lieferte sie gute Werte aber jetzt nach nur 6 Monaten kann es sich bei dieser SSD ja nur um einen schlechten Scherz handeln. Hab leider nur am ersten Tag einen Test mit Diskmark gemacht. Da war alles in Ordnung. Erst heute hab ich einen zweiten Test gemacht weil ich das Gefühl hatte, dass sie irgendwie langsamer geworden ist. Mein Gefühl hat mich nicht getäuscht. Die Leistung beim Schreiben ist total eingebrochen.
Nachtrag: Habe jetzt den Support kontaktiert und folgendes wurde mir mitgeteilt: “it is suggested to have minimal 25 percent of your storage space free for improved performance and at least 50 percent to have better-sustained write performance.”
Habe also daraufhin die SSD zu 50% frei gemacht. Da stiegen die Werte dann wieder (siehe Bild 3). Also halte ich als Fazit mal fest: Wenn ich eine 1000 GB SSD von Sabrent verbaue, kann ich nur höchtens 500 GB davon nutzen. Ansonsten habe ich zumindest was das Schreiben angeht enorme Geschwindigkeitseinbussen die sich deutlich bemerkbar machen. Bei meiner 1 TB Samsung SSD habe ich diese Probleme nicht. Bei Sabrent bekommt man also eigentlich nur eine 500 GB SSD für den Preis einer 1 TB SSD, will man die Vorteile einer NVMe SSD nutzen. Für mich grenzt das an Betrug und dank Google weiß ich jetzt, dass dies kein zufälliger Fehler meiner SSD ist sondern, dass deren Chips wirklich so schlecht sind. Für mich ein klarer Garantiefall und dann wird der Müll verkauft und auch in diesem PC eine Samsung verbaut.

Da dove partiamo, diciamo dal prezzo, ottimo sicuramente. Scrivo per il modello Rocket Q 1000 PCIe 3.0. Premetto, questo Nvme l’ho preso come disco secondario da dedicare per la libreria di Steam, come primario avevo già un Nvme Samsung 970 evo da 1TB. Appena installato, quindi vuoto, fatto dei bench con Crystal Diskmark 8 in sequenziale , era abbastanza vicino al Samsung. Una volta migrata la libreria di Steam dal SSD al Nvme Rocket, con memoria piena al 94% cambia tutto, non in lettura, ma tanto in scrittura. Rocket, lettura , 3375 MB/s – Scrittura 144.91, Samsung lettura 3537 MB/s – Scrittura 2325 , come vedete, altro mondo, vedi foto in allegato. Consiglio l’acquisto? Ni, nel senso, come disco primario ci penserei 2 volte, soprattutto per i tagli minori di 1Tb che si riempiono prima e vanno incontro a questo degrado di scrittura (non sono il primo a segnalarlo) , come disco secondario, o terzo, quindi libreria giochi o dati, se il prezzo è buono si, altrimenti, come disco Primario Samsung o WD tutta la vita, secondario Sabrent solo se il prezzo è molto interessante, altrimenti , io passerei tornassi indietro e mi sarei preso un WD, costa poco meno del Samsung, poco più del Sabrent, ma li vale

I bought this and a NVMe enclosure to have a large and fast external. I have a Mac which has Windows installed on it and on the Windows partition I was getting the speed I was expecting via USB 3.2 Gen 2 (second screenshot), however when I booted into macOS I was getting significantly lower read speeds (third screen).
I do have a Desktop with a smaller Samsung NVMe SSD so I swapped those round and got read speeds of over 900Mbps in macOS with that, so there’s something with this SSD that macOS does not like. I tried the Sabrent Rocket Control Panel but get an error when I check for firmware updates and apparently the drive is up to date, can’t say that I’m too impressed with the SW. I had read on a few reviews that Sabrent had chosen to go with 4K blocks rather than 512B, but when I checked mine was already set to 512B.
So I’ve changed my plans and using this in my PC and the speeds are fantastic (first screen), if you’re getting this drive for a Windows 10 build then you can’t go wrong. Great speeds and the price for 2TB is fantastic, if Macs are involved though you probably want to look elsewhere.

This was my first foray into the world of NVME and this seemed like a good choice to start me off with reviews stating speeds and reliability, and I was not disappointed. My read speeds are higher than the 3200MB/s that they quote and the write speeds are nearly spot on too. I have it installed on a Gigabyte B450M Gaming motherboard and had no issues with either the install or firmware/drivers etc. I am highly impressed with this for £99 and will definitely be buying another of these at some point soon.

La recensione è scritta con un po’ di ritardo rispetto all’acquisto perché questo tipo di prodotti ha bisogno di essere usato per un certo tempo prima di esprimere un giudizio. Il disco è veloce sia in lettura (avvio di win10 in 5-6 secondi) che in scrittura. Dopo più di un mese un ha segnalato errori allo scan disk. Facile da montare si installa su slot PCI Express. Arriva ben imballato e all’interno di una comoda custodia in alluminio.

L’UNICA cosa da consigliare e dentro la scatola aggiungere viti e distanziali per diverse tipologie di schede madre perchè io per montarla ho dovuto comprare separatamente viti e distanziali il resto e perfetto

Consegna puntuale, imbustato in un semplice pluriball. Il prodotto è esattamente quello descritto, la confezione di fabbrica è semplice ed elegante con un guscio metallico. contenente il prodotto ed un brevissimo manuale di installazione. Manuale utile, perchè dopo l’installazione fisica il disco viene riconosciuto dal Bios ma non da windows. Occorre aprire l’applicazione di gestione dischi, impostare il MBR e solo dopo il disco è visto come utilizzabile. Non occorre essere esperti ma non è neppure alla portata di chiunque. Nel complesso un acquisto molto soddisfacente
