Intendiamoci è un ottimo prodotto ma per il prezzo che ha ha delle sbavature che non sono accettabili. Mi spiego meglio: partiamo dai materiali costruttivi, si di buona qualità ma considerando il prezzo mi aspettavo di meglio. Passiamo alla parte costruttiva, è molto solida ma appena la si prende in mano si cominciano a sentire tanti scricchiolii che ripeto non sono niente di che ma per il prezzo che costa non dovrebbe avere. Altra cosa, la parte superiore, quella con il logo, balla a destra e a sinistra e si muove. Ultima cosa la velocità dichiarata non è effettivamente quella reale, in tutte le verifiche fatte, con test reali e non usando programmi di test, non supera mai i 358Mb/s (sono sicuro di aver collegato l’ssd ad una porta adatta che supporta la velocità dichiarata), altro chiarimento, 358Mb/s è un ottima velocità per qualunque persona che non ne fa un uso professionale ma tornando al discorso del prezzo mi avrebbe fatto piacere che almeno si avvicinasse di più alla velocità dichiarata. E con questo ho finito i “lati negativi” ultima cosa che aggiungo, che è un parere soggettivo e non influenza la valutazione totale, è che essendo pensato come un qualcosa di portatile, il cavo in dotazione sarebbe dovuto essere più corto.

Questa è un aggiornamento della mia precedente recensione. Ho potuto costatare che utilizzando le porte giuste e con i cavi appropriati, la velocità di trasferimento arriva tranquillamente agli 800 MB/s. Per il resto, essendo articoli di nuova generazione, mi fido e mi affido alla serietà qualitativa della Sandisk.

I have recently used the ‘extreme’ version and have loved it. So when I needed more storage I ordered 2 of the newer ones.
The advert says that it comes with USB-C to USB-C with an adapter for USB-A. This is not so, and it just comes with a USB-A cable.
I wish I could report the speeds etc, but neither of the 2 I purchased work!!!! At first it was worrying that the first one wasn’t recognised, but when the second one was the same I thought it could be my PC……. however after trying on another PC, and a MAC machine I could confirm 100% that both of the drives are faulty!!
The actual feel of the drives are also very concerning. The ‘extreme’ drive I got about a year ago feels solid and is black, as listed. These are a very very very cheap plastic, and are actually a deep blue.
I hope this is just a rogue batch, but has put me off the SanDisk SSDs

This was purchased for use as additional drive for M1 Mac Min which has only 256G drive built in.
It worked as intended but became very warm even if it was doing nothing, just being connected. Whether or not this is normal I don’t know, but I do know that excessive heat shortens the life of SSDs.
It also disconnected from the computer intermittently, with the OS thinking that it had been removed, so was proving to be unreliable. Returned for refund, with no problems there.
I note that there have been other buyers who have had the same problems.

Die SSD funktioniert einwandfrei auf einem Intel MacBook Pro und auf einem Intel Windows PC aber nicht oder nur sporadisch mit dem M1.
Die Festplatte wird in den Systeminformationen erkannt aber nicht im Finder angezeigt. (Ja, in den Finder Einstellungen sind externe Festplatten angehakt.)
Wir haben versch. Kabel getestet – keins hat zuverlässig funktioniert.
Die Festplatte wurde über zwei Tage und mehrere Versuche, Neustarts & Mac-Updates nur ein einziges Mal im Finder erkannt und konnte verwendet werden. Nach ordentlichem Auswerfen und wieder anstecken wurde die Festplatte wieder nicht im Finder erkannt. Auch eine Formatierung (als Sie einmal erkannt wurde) hat nicht geklappt (auf den letzten Block konnte nicht geschrieben werden). Unter Windows hat die Formatierung einwandfrei geklappt (ExFat).

I paid for the 2000mb/s version but it is not capable of such speeds. Not even 1000mb/s. At least not in a Mac:
So this was my mistake, and perhaps Sandisk’s mistake as well, including the confusing USB-C standards.
This drive is capable of 2000mb/s, but your computer must support dual-lane USB 3.2 Gen 2X2, essentially using both lanes of USB-C connectors to deliver speeds up to 20Gbps (or 2.5GB/s).
As of this date, no Mac products support the new USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 standard. They only support USB 3.2 gen 2, which is one lane at 10Gbps (or 1.25GB/s).
So if you have an Apple/Mac machine, this will not work at its fullest speed. Try getting the regular extreme pro that works at 1000mb/s, and save your money. Otherwise, get a TB3 drive, such as a Samsung X5 (if you can afford it and find one available).

Ho acquistato due dischi, uno da 1 tera ed una da 2 tera, li uso per montaggio video. La velocità di accesso al disco è soddisfacente. Con Final Cut e Da Vinci, non si sono mai impiantati, malgrado monti anche filmati a 4k. Uso uno dei due dischi, il più piccolo per stivare le clip, e l’altro per il back up e le piste di montaggio. Ho caricato una pista da 9 ore di clip, ed il disco non ha dato problemi di risposta. Li utilizzo anche per 10 ore al giorno, ed anche la dispersione di calore è discreta. Le dimensioni ridotte e la copertura in morbida gomma ne facilitano il trasporto. Unica pecca, il cavetto USB C, molto corto, ma purtroppo è così per quasi tutti i dischi di questa tipologia. Sono dotati anche di un riduttore da USB C USB, ed anche utilizzando il riduttore la velocità resta discreta, ovviamente tutto dipende anche dalla porta USB che si utilizza. Sono un utente Mac, ma per comodità ho formattato i dischi in ExFat, per poter scambiare dati anche con utenti Windows.
Direi un’ottima scelta

È il più intrigante degli hard disk portatili. È piccolo, bello, leggero, economico. Non sono stato a misurare la velocità, ma ad occhio copia i dati veramente rapidamente.
Il cavo (purtroppo per me) è USB C – USB A, il che mi ha costretto ad acquistare un ulteriore cavetto C – C 3.
Sarebbe stato più comodo un USB C – C con adattatore per A, come è per gli altri SanDisk SSD

Ho acquistato questo HD per avere un supporto dove scaricare le foto del mio collaboratore alla fine di ogni servizio. L’ho utilizzato con un Mac Book Air 13″. Arrivato a scaricare la prima scheda (circa 90GB) il computer non segna neanche il tempo rimasto, vedo che e’ molto lento ma non gli ho dato troppo peso credendo che fosse un problema di cavo o di formattazione dell’HD. Dopo circa 50 min finisce di scaricare la scheda. Essendo abituato a un HD SSD samsung (anche piuttosto vecchio) le cose non mi tornavano. Cambio cavetto e scarico la seconda scheda, stessa identica cosa. A quel punto cerco online se mi fosse sfuggito qualche driver per l’HD ma niente. Allora per semplice curiosita’ ho riformattato l’HD in modo differente ma ancora nuovamente niente. Sono veramente deluso, Sandisk stavolta ha toppatoalla grande. Sno un utilizzatore dei loro prodotti da una vita oramai (soprattutto per le schede sd, cf e ora cf express) e non ho mai avuto problemi. Stavolta hanno toppato alla grande. Mi spiace davvero. Reso richiesto e optero’ per un Samsung T5 ssd.

Are you finding researching a new SSD a complete minefield? Theres so many out there and I didn’t know what to buy. I had 3 questions that I had to answer to come to my decision. Spoiler…they are not all equal!
1. Q: is it compatible with my iMac 2020 and iPad Pro 2018? (I’d read loads about compatibility issues and even contacted SanDisk who wouldn’t commit to a clear answer). A: so far it works well with both, but see the speed results below.
2. Q: what speed does it give in real life? (I wanted to have around 1000 MBPS read and write speed even after sustained use). A: I did a Speedtest (Black Magic) through the Mac and it’s giving approx. 950 MBPS read and write via the iMacs TB3 and USB port, which I’m very happy with. Remember, this is not a TB3 SSD. To get the full-rated 2000 MBps you’d need to use this with a USB 3.2 X2 port which my 2020 Mac doesn’t have. Speed when connected to iPad? I’m not sure yet, but I’ll revise this once I’ve worked it out. It’s very decent though.
3. Q: why this particular SSD if you can’t get the full speed out of it anyway?
A1: it’s fast enough for my needs right now, but it’s heavily future proofed for when speedier ports become available on Macs or iPads.
A2: it out performed similarly priced drives (Samsung T7, T5, Crucial X8, LaCie Rugged) and held its own against more expensive drives like Samsung X5, LaCie Rugged Pro, WD Black) with regards to speed and throttling, even after sustained use when transferring big files. (Throttling due to heat is a problem with many SSDs and claimed headline speeds aren’t achieved in real life due to this).
A3: it’s small, seems durable for travelling and has no sharp edges to scratch other equipment. It comes with a USB-C to USB-C and a USB-C to USB-A cable. Both are a good length (approx. 30cm) for placement behind an iMac.
A4: Its got a 5 year warranty.
My question was… Should I go for the Extreme V2 (non-Pro version) rated at 1000 MBPS and save myself £45? The reviews are coming up decent as well for that one. Not quite as fast over sustained use, (approximately 800-ish), but if you don’t ever see yourself ever getting a USB3.2 X2 machine, that would be my second choice.

Perfetto per l’utilizzo con iPad Pro. Piccolo e leggero, veloce e affidabile. Bello (cosa che non guasta) e di uso immediato. Non ho ancora attivato la protezione dei dati con pw per evitare di dovere ricordare un altra sequenza alfanumerica. Molto comodo l’adattatore da usb-c a usb tradizionale. La versione 1050 è veramente un fulmine anche se parecchie volte viene limitata dalle periferiche a cui L’ssd viene accoppiato. Il montaggio video con Rush su iPad ti fa dimenticare di non avere i file in locale ma su una unità esterna. Assolutamente quello che serve! Lo consiglio sicuramente a chi voglia spendere qualche decina di euro in più e dimenticarsi dello spazio sul tablet.

Dopo averci trasferito sopra tutte le mie foto il SanDisk ha crackato, è diventato illeggibile per il mio MAC e ha perso tutti i dati. Una esperienza spaventosa. Non lo consiglierei a nessuno. Ho reso il prodotto e cambiato marca con grande soddisfazione.

AGGIORNAMENTO dopo aver ricevuto la sostituzione stesso problema: si blocca e si disconnette dopo poco tempo di utilizzo, circa 10 minuti di attività intensa. Impensabile per un oggetto che dovrebbe essere quantomeno affidabile oltre che veloce. Inoltre ha problemi di connessione con i cellulari (Galaxy Note 9 e Galaxy Note 20) si connette e dopo pochi secondi di attività si disconnette.

Non va a 2000 come pubblicizzato ma si ferma a 1300 circa quando si tratta di file grandi. Lo uso per spostare macchine virtuali e dopo pochi minuti si blocca e si deve ricominciare la copia dopo aver riparato il file system che si corrompe. Ho chiesto la sostituzione, se lo farà ancora lo renderò. Comunque pessima esperienza soprattutto visto il prezzo e il fatto che sia il top di gamma.
