I bought this video card to drive a 4K TV with a Windows PC. After receiving the card – it did not work. Not because of the card – but because of my (older) Dell XP 8700 CPU. On a Sunday night, I started to fill out a return slip. But I was then connected with the actual vendor – located in Florida (10 PM Sunday his time)! Jason spent 2 hours on the phone trying to get the card to install. He said it was not the card, but the BIOS of my PC. That night he sent me links to update my BIOS and a YouTube video to change the BIOS settings. The next day, it worked! I tested it on some YouTube and Vimeo 4K 120fps video. Simply Beautiful. Truly exceptional service, product and value. I highly recommend Viewmax/Biostar Technologies. Exemplary service and products.

Setup was a little tricky as Windows 10 didn’t identify it without first installing the drivers. I installed the card, connected my monitor to the on-board video adapter, then installed the drivers. I shut down the system, moved the video cable to the Biostar and everything fired right up. You may have a BIOS setting on your system for “Multi-monitor mode”, enable that before you start installation.
Overall this card delivers good colors and frame rates, has a nice quiet fan and a decent set of outputs. Be sure to note the DVI-D connector, my VGA-to-DVI-I adapter wasn’t compatible (I ended up using a DisplayPort cable).

Pros:
-Inexpensive. Not bad for a cheap card.
-Was a breeze to install.
-Installed the drivers using the install CD, then it updated to the latest drivers as of 04/2019.
Cons:
The accompanying software seems a little clunky.
Other than that, I can’t complain, a 4GB card for $89.00.
Other Thoughts:
I would recommend this card.
For the price you can’t hardly beat it.
This was my first Biostar product purchase ever in 20 years.
I was skeptical to try it since I had heard in the past that their products weren’t that great.
I was pleasantly surprised and relieved that the card booted up and took off without issues right out of the box.
Wish I had a couple more of these cards.
UPDATE: I updated the drivers and now its running better than before.

If you have a small tower, avoid this card. I had to modify the plastic fan housing with very precise cutting to force it in there. I did this because it was such a good deal and didn’t want to wait to send it back and get another card. It’s a great card for an average gamer. If you want ultra high detail graphics, buy something else. For the money, this is a good card.

Just writing this as a warning to y’all out there – the install disc this graphics card came with broke my fundamental Windows 10 system files, I had to reinstall Win10 entirely just to get the computer to boot up anymore. I highly recommend just downloading the drivers from the official Radeon website and installing everything you need through that – it’s most likely the installation files on the physical install disc are outdated and conflicted with something I had on my computer. Please be cautious.
The card itself is fantastic for it’s price, probably one of the best. The fan is extremely quiet, practically completely silent – I had to stick my finger in the fan just to make sure it was actually running (which is a very dumb thing to do on my part.) If you’re a gamer I can’t recommend this enough for it’s price. Runs Final Fantasy XIV at full settings at 30fps. Supports Directx12, which is currently the newest version of Directx, meaning you can play most games – probably not at maximum settings, but still playable. This card got my older computer running like smooth butter for the first time in 10 years.
