I paired this up with a Ryzen 5 3600 and it works perfectly. This board does allow for overclocking in the form of manual clock speed tweaking and P state overclocking. The power phase on the board is able to handle it too. Consider this board a better B450 despite having the A520 chipset.
The board also features 5 fan headers, 2 RGB headers, 4 SATA ports, and 1 m.2 slot. The only downside of this board is that it is only has a PCI express 3.0 slot not the 4.0 slot that the B550 motherboards have. That being said the future support for…

So I wanted to build my 2 kids a computer. My goal was to go with mid-tier items. This motherboard seemed reasonably priced enough too, so I pulled the trigger! I’ve never had any issues with Gigabyte in the past, so I didn’t expect any issues with these boards.
The install went easy enough, with no real problems. This was for a 5600x CPU with 2x sticks of RAM. For the internet, I was utilizing a PCIe WiFi6 adapter w/ Bluetooth.

Long story short, my pc would cut on the fans and the cpu fans, but I had no signal to my monitor and rgb wasn’t working. So I tried to install one ram at a time and in different slots. So come to find out one of the two first slots it says to use was not functioning at all. Now for some this could be a complete turn off and I completely understand, but seeing as I just moved my other ram stick to another slot and the pc worked fine, it’s not too much of a problem.
